What to expect
🛏️
Caledonian Berth
Private en-suite cabin with a double or single bed, power shower, toiletries, and a Scottish breakfast delivered to your door in the morning. The best way to arrive in Scotland.
💺
Seated travel
Reclining seats in shared carriages — budget-friendly and fine for the 8-hour journey. Bring a neck pillow. Seats are in a dedicated sleeper carriage, quieter than daytime trains.
🥃
The Club Car
The social heart of the Caledonian Sleeper — a lounge carriage serving Scottish whiskies, gin, beer and light food through the night. A proper send-off before bed.
🎟️
Interrail & Eurail
A Global Pass covers the journey fare. You still need to book a berth reservation at sleeper.scot — en-suite cabins are limited and fill up on summer weekends and bank holidays.
📅
Book 12 weeks ahead
Caledonian Sleeper opens bookings 12 weeks before departure. En-suite cabins on Friday and Saturday nights in summer sell out in days. Book as early as possible.
